Under the overall direction of the Programme Coordinator, the Social Media Associate will manage and improve outreach of DuA through its presence on social media forums. The Associate will undertake the responsibilities and tasks as per the below Terms of Reference (TOR).
Responsibilities:
- Review the current social media action planning to design a three-year DuA Children social media strategy/action plan (3/4 Pages) through research, benchmarking, messaging, and audience identification – One time.
- Manage DuA Children website, upload content (5 per month), improvements within the website structure: functionality, useability, navigation by users and update of existing students, sponsors and mentors.
- Help in drafting and uploading social media posts/updates (4 - 6 posts per month) on the social media platforms like Facebook, LinkedIn, Twitter, Instagram, YouTube, Pinterest, Google+, Flickr, etc.
- Prepare monthly analytics for DuA Social Media to gain insight on traffic, demographics, and effectiveness; utilize this information to positively affect future outcomes.
- Assist with crisis management, bad reviews, and negative news communications.
Qualification
- First University degree in IT, software etc.
- Knowledge of current social media trends and how to utilize platforms for advocacy, visibility, communication research, planning, monitoring and evaluation.
- Highly developed social media skills, including ability to design/run website, social media uploads and conducting analytics
- Ability to identify strategic issues, opportunities and risks, for social media platforms
Duration :Duration of the contract is one year, with possibility of extension.
Probation: The probation period will be two months.
