Position Summary:
- The selected candidate will be responsible to teach Certified Internal Auditor (CIA) qualifications in conjunction with other professional qualifications i.e. Certified fraud examiner (CFE), ACCA and (FIA) foundations in professional accountancy and so on.
- This is a full time permanent position and Dunya University expects qualified professional with at least 5 years of prior teaching experience.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- To teach differenet professional qualifications more importantly Certified Internal Audiotor (CIA) and Certified Information System Auditor (CISA) or any other allocated by the Head of Department and reviewed from time to time by the Head of Department.
- To engage with the professional communities, students and other stakeholders to improve the delivery of courses.
- To supervise or assist with supervision of research reports that students may prepare under BSC (Hons) in applied accounting by oxford brookes.
- To contribute to the development, planning and implementation of a high quality study materials as instructed by head of department.
- To assist in the development of learning materials, preparing schemes of work and maintaining records to monitor student progress, achievement and attendance.
- To participate in departmental and faculty meetings to improve goal congruence of professional qualifications with University strategic plans
- To participate in the development, administration and marking of exams and other assessments.
- To provide pastoral care and support to students.
- To participate in the administration of the department’s programmes of study and other activities as requested.
- To maintain own continuing professional development (CPD).
- To actively follow and promote Dunya University policies and procedures.
Education:
- ACCA/CPA membership and Certified Internal Auditor (CIA) from IIA
- Any relevant qualification in Management Information Systems
Experience:
- Experience in lecturing on professional courses such as ACCA, CIA , CPA or any other business courses.
- Knowledge of Afghanistan is an added advantage
Language requirements:
- Fluent in English (written and spoken); ·
- Excellent and effective communication (verbal and written) skills, including ability to prepare lecture notes and deliver lectures clearly. ·
- People in a multi-cultural, multi-ethnic environment with sensitivity and respect for diversity; ·
- Commands thorough knowledge in financial accounting, people management and management information systems. ·
- Pragmatism, understanding of operational constraints in highly dynamic environment.
