Dvxel seeks an experienced Solutions/Platform Architect with 7 to 10 years of professional expertise to lead the design and development of cutting-edge AI-driven SaaS products. This role entails hands-on involvement in architectural design, code development, and delivery while leading a team of 7 engineers based in Lahore. The architect will collaborate closely with product leadership in Toronto to establish and maintain scalable, secure, and high-performance platforms leveraging modern technologies including multi-tenant architectures, large language models, and real-time integrations.
The ideal candidate drives technical decisions from concept through deployment by owning the end-to-end platform architecture, API definitions, and observability frameworks. The architect will oversee cloud-native solutions primarily on AWS, engage in deep technical discussions with clients and stakeholders, and mentor engineering staff to foster a culture of excellence and innovation. Responsibilities also extend to evaluating emerging AI tools and frameworks, continuously enhancing platform reliability, and ensuring security compliance across distributed microservices and data layers.
Responsibilities
- Lead the architecture and implementation of multi-tenant SaaS platforms integrating large language models, retrieval-augmented generation pipelines, and vector stores.
- Design and govern API contract layers to ensure consistency and security across all system integrations.
- Develop and maintain high-performance backend APIs and microservices using Node.js or Python.
- Architect scalable, secure data layers interconnecting AI models, analytics systems, and third-party services.
- Define and monitor service level objectives (SLOs), implement logging, tracing, alerting, and manage incident response processes for platform reliability.
- Guide sprint planning, engineering execution, and oversee production deployments to ensure timely delivery of features.
- Establish coding standards, best practices, and perform rigorous code reviews to maintain high-quality software outputs.
- Collaborate with product leadership to shape technical roadmaps aligned with business goals and emerging industry trends.
- Evaluate and integrate advanced AI tooling including agentic frameworks and AI coding assistants such as Claude Code.
- Lead technical discovery sessions and architectural reviews with clients, translating requirements into innovative technical solutions.
- Mentor junior and mid-level engineers, promoting continuous learning and professional growth within the team.
- Actively contribute to codebase development, delivering production-grade backend code alongside team members.
