The Senior Developer will be responsible for participating in design, development, testing and documenting of the J2EE reference architecture.
Develop and host web enabled and/or thick client, database driven applications in Java.
Work as part of a team you will contribute to the application architecture by implementing, enhancing & maintaining frameworks, as well as implementing Proof of Concepts.
Apply analytical skills to resolve problems and deliver solutions.
Design and develop quality solutions for systems issues consistent with project objectives.
Troubleshoot coding issues. Ensure coding continuity.
Prime responsibility will be to develop detailed design specifications, create and review code and assess impact on other applications.
Role will work closely with other team members to ensure consistency in coding standards and approaches and to optimize any synergy and re-use opportunities.
Good communication skills (Oral and written).
Java Developer Mandatory Skills:
- 4+ years of development experience in distributed Java environment
- Strong SDLC understanding with Waterfall and Agile development practices
- Advanced skills using J2EE Frameworks and Libraries such as Hibernate, JPA and JDO
- Database development skills including SQL programming, solid understanding of relational database technologies, logical and physical data modeling. Preferably on an Oracle database.
- Backend and Frontend/Web development experience with AngularJS, JavaScript, HTML 5, CSS, JSF, jQuery
- Experience using standard development tools, such as Eclipse, Ant, Git
- Experience developing web services (SOAP, REST, XML, JSON)
- Experience with UNIX and shell script development is a plus
- Experience with web app servers, such as Tomcat, JBoss, Websphere or Weblogic
- Experience with an e-commerce platform (Magento, hybris, ATG, Websphere etc.) would be preferred.
