Install, configure and maintain Microsoft SQL Server2008 R2 and SQL Server 2012 in Windows 2008 and Windows 2012 server • Tune database configuration and parameters for optimal system performance. • Ensure proper setting of system memory and system parameters in consultation with windows administrators • Strong production experience in managing MS SQL Server clustered environment for mission critical systems • Create and maintain application databases with optimal data file and log file sizes • Provide continuous monitoring, troubleshooting, historical and real time performance monitoring of the MS SQL Server environments. • Provide backup and restore functions for MS SQL Server databases • Develop and maintain DBA scripts supporting the database function using Windows Power Shell scripts • Periodically refresh development and test databases using copy of production system • Maintain highly available SQL Server databases using SQL Database Mirroring and SQL Always On Technology • Maintain highly secure SQL Server databases using SQL Transparent Data Encryption, SQL Line Encryption, and enhanced SQL Server auditing features
Educational Qualifications and Experience: • Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, or STEM related fields • Role Specific Experience: 5+ years of relevant experience as a DBA in MS SQL Server systems on Windows 2003 clustered platform
