We are looking for a QA Automation Engineer to join our global team. In this role, you will be suggesting ideas for automated software test procedures. Besides, you will be highlighting problem areas and tracking bugs that hinder software installation.
You will be designing and implementing a complete test strategy and plan for automation. As a QA Automation Engineer, you will be liaising with the Developers and Project Managers to identify and test key features of software programs. Apart from testing, you should be able to develop well-planned and structured test plans/cases.
You should be detail-oriented and possess excellent troubleshooting abilities. If you have a strong technical background and can streamline all testing activities, then we would love to have you on board.
Key responsibilities & duties:
- Meeting with the software design team to discuss verification protocols.
- Identifying software application weaknesses and target areas.
- Sketching out ideas for automated software test procedures.
- Review software bug reports and highlight problem areas.
- Writing automation scripts and implementing software applications.
- Troubleshooting automation software and finalizing system procedures.
- Identifying quality issues and creating test reports.
- Planning and prioritizing testing activities
- Tracking software bugs and investigating the causes
- Creating test plans and cases
- Preparing detailed test reports
- Prioritizing and executing tests
- Reviewing technical specifications and design documents
- Conducting regression testing when needed
Academic or trade qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, software engineering, or a similar field.
- At least 3-5+ years of previous experience working as a QA automation engineer.
- Experience implementing a complete agile testing process from Scratch.
- Advanced programming skills including automation systems and databases.
- Familiarity with programming script languages including JavaScript, and TypeScript.
- Experience with testing frameworks including Cypress and/or Protractor & E2E testing for Angular based web-apps
- Excellent analytical skills.
- Detailed knowledge of application functions, bug fixing, and testing protocols.
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Good project management skills.
