We are development partner of a Malaysian company with offices in China, Japan, Turkey and Australia. We are planning to launch our products officially by the end of 2018 and will facilitate millions of users in Asia Pacific region with our digital solutions.
Purpose of this position:
We are looking for a passionate Software Engineer to design, develop and install software solutions. The successful candidate will be able to build high-quality, innovative and fully performing software in compliance with coding standards and technical design. Software engineer responsibilities will include development, writing code, and functionality documentation.
Roles and Responsibilities:
Develop software solutions by studying information needs and investigating problem areas.
Can work on sophisticated commercial PHP software products in a fast paced environment.
Contribute to improving the quality and design of the existing code base
Strong skills/experience in developing web applications using php ( and related technologies)
Ensure to resolve identified issues related with PHP development.
Work along with other team members.
Skills:
Proven software development experience in core and custom PHP and experience in OOP
Working experience on any php MVC Framework. Experience on Laravel framework is preferred.
Excellent knowledge of HTML, CSS, AJAX, and Jquery is mandatory. Having Angular or Reactjs experience is plus point
Experience in using any enterprise source control system like SVN, GIT etc.
Experience in JSON, RESTful APIs, OOPS.
Experience using different IDEs and servers.
Must have done projects using MVC architecture.
Experience of the full software development lifecycle: from requirements gathering and Functional specification
Experience with payment gateways esp. Paypal and Stripe
Experience working along with mobile development team as an API developer
Candidates must be adaptive to meet the priorities when demanded, and should be able to think outside of the box, pragmatic, able to voice and effectively communicate opinions, great listeners and detail oriented.
Must know about Elasticsearch or Apache Solr and the server configuration
Strong debugging skills and comfortable with the Linux OS command line (Ubuntu/Centos)
Preferences:
Well-developed testing skills in PHP environments
Experience with Git, Bitbucket, JIRA and Continuous Integration
Knowledge of other web frameworks and/or programming languages is an asset esp Java or C#
Working experience of Cloud based solution is highly desirable
Experience of Nosql database is a plus point
