Essential Functions
- Build pixel-perfect, buttery smooth UIs across both mobile platforms.
- Leverage native APIs for deep integrations with both platforms.
- Diagnose and fix bugs and performance bottlenecks for performance that feels native.
- Reach out to the open source community to encourage and help implement mission-critical software fixes—React Native moves fast and often breaks things.
- Maintain code and write automated tests to ensure product quality.
- Coordinate with or join the back-end services team which powers the app.
- Understand business requirements and translate them into technical requirements.
Required Education and Experience
- 3+ years of front-end software engineering experience.
- 3+ years of mobile software development experience.
- Expertise in JavaScript, React Native, Native iOS (Objective-C and/or Swift), Native Android (Java/Kotlin), React.js, Node.js, and their nuances.
- Experience with ES6/ESNext Javascript features.
- Top-notch communication and teamwork skills.
- Good understanding of AWS backend APIs.
- Expertise in native mobile and React Native/React/Node development.
- Adept at working with third-party dependencies and debugging dependency conflicts.
- Familiarity with native build tools, like XCode and Android Studio, and build/deployment automation.
- Understanding of REST APIs, the document request model, state management and offline storage.
- Experience with automated testing suites.
- Generalist skill set and eager to learn new things.
Preferred Education and Experience
- BS in Computer Science or the equivalent.
- 3+ years in fullstack software engineering experience.
- Experience with using Docker in a CI/CD environment.
- Experience using Redux, Flux, MobX or any other React state store.
- Experience in publishing apps to Google Play and/or Apple App Store.
