Energietech Teknoloji is seeking an experienced Data Center Engineer specializing in Uninterruptible Power Supply (UPS) and Power Distribution Systems for international infrastructure and mission-critical facility projects in Congo. The successful candidate will play a key role in installing, supervising, coordinating, and managing the technical aspects of electrical and power distribution systems within data center environments. This role includes oversight of UPS systems, power distribution units, battery management, and ensuring electrical safety and energy efficiency across the data center infrastructure. The engineer will lead a dedicated team of five professionals, ensuring effective collaboration and successful project delivery.
The position requires solid expertise in electrical load analysis, power infrastructure design, and backup power systems, combined with strong knowledge of SCADA systems and power capacity planning. Working in international and challenging project environments, the engineer must have the ability to interpret technical drawings and project documentation, excellent communication skills in English, and a willingness to work onsite overseas. Responsibilities
- Plan, design, and manage the installation of UPS and power distribution systems in data center projects ensuring reliability and compliance with electrical safety standards.
- Supervise and coordinate the work of a team of five engineers and technicians to deliver high-quality infrastructure solutions on time and within budget.
- Perform electrical load analysis and power capacity planning to optimize system performance and energy efficiency in data center environments.
- Manage the configuration and ongoing maintenance of power distribution units (PDUs), battery management systems, and backup power systems.
- Ensure proper coordination of circuit breakers and electrical protection devices to safeguard system integrity and minimize downtime.
- Implement monitoring solutions including SCADA and DCIM systems to provide real-time oversight of power distribution and energy consumption.
- Collaborate with mechanical and network teams to integrate power infrastructure with cooling, cabling, and other critical facility systems.
- Review and interpret technical drawings, project documents, and specifications to ensure compliance with project standards and client requirements.
- Provide technical guidance on power infrastructure design, energy efficiency optimization, and electrical safety compliance throughout all project phases.
- Conduct regular inspections, testing, and preventive maintenance to ensure uninterrupted operation of power systems in the data center.
- Communicate effectively with clients, suppliers, and project stakeholders to resolve issues and implement improvements.
- Support the development and implementation of company policies and best practices for data center electrical infrastructure management.
- Prepare detailed reports and documentation related to power system performance, project progress, and compliance requirements.
