The Position: The Principal Software Engineer will be an integral part of our globally distributed Replication and Connectors team.
The individual will be primarily responsible to work on the design and development of different modules of pgPool, pgBouncer and other middle-ware systems.
As a member of the team the individual will assist customer support team to solve on site customer issues, respond to escalations, and fix customer reported bugs.
The individual will assist configuration management team to solve build related issues for installers and RPMs.
Additionally the individual will be responsible for understanding the architecture of key modules and engage with customers, professional services and sales engineering to propose solutions for various deployments in customer environment.
Skills:
- Proven track record of successfully developed and delivered systems.
- Highly proficient in C / C++.
- Experience of software development in Linux operating system.
- Experience of developing network applications in Linux operating system.
- Working experience with relational databases PostgreSQL, Oracle or SQL Server.
- Working experience with pgPool, pgBouncer or any other middle-ware.
- Good understanding of concurrent programming concepts
- Strong analytical and Problem solving skills
- Excellent communication skills
- Experienced in working with a global team in a fast moving environment
- Experience with Agile development, scrum, Jira, Stride, Confluence is a plus
- GIT experience
