Job Description
We are seeking a Principal Build and Release/DevOps Engineer to join our Configuration Management team who can work independently to enhance the existing CI/CD framework for EDB products and can also learn the new skills as needed to get the job done.
Job Responsibilities
Automate the launching of the build instances on OpenStack using Ansible or other CM tools as required
Enhance the existing CI/CD framework for products based on Java, C/C++, Python to make use of dockers for build and regression testing
Utilize Jenkins and other tools to improve the pipeline
Undertake other related tasks as required.
Technical Skills
Strong Linux or UNIX experience
4+ years of experience as a DevOps engineer
Experience with Docker and multi-stage builds, registries
Experience of containerizing apps using Docker platform
Experience with Ansible or any Configuration Management Tools
Understanding of Kubernetes microservices architectures and internal components in an advantage
Must be familiar with CI/CD using Jenkins. Experience with Jenkins pipelines will be plus.
Experience with one of the scripting languages, preferably shell scripting
Exposure to Git version control and the command line tools
Experience with any of the programming languages is an advantage
Knowledge of OpenStack is an advantage
