Looking for a strong sofware developer to work on developing a brand new greenfield quantitative, high performance and real-time system.
Responsibilities:
- Build web and/or desktop applications, integrate data and application services, and automate batch processes.
- Develop a cutting edge platform for data analytics and algortihmic trading.
- Maintain and enhance existing code base and processes that have been automated.
- Handle ad hoc requests to generate data files or reports for time-sensitive trade pricing and portfolio surveillance.
- Full-cycle development from analysis, development, testing and deployment.
Essential Skills:
- A deep passion for technology, software development, and mathematics
- Proficiency within one or more programming languages, including C++, Python, and R
- Experience with some of the following areas: Distributed Computing, Natural Language Processing, Machine Learning, Platform Development, Networking, System Design, and/or Web Development
- C++ Development integrating with Big Data technologies like Spark and Kafka.
- Strong HTML5
- Proficient Angular/AngularJS framework and Typescript/JavaScript (3+ years)
- Strong C# skills and Python
- Strong Oracle or Sybase SQL skills
- Proficient on Linux platforms with knowledge of various scripting languages
- Proficient with a range of open source frameworks and development tools e.g. NumPy/SciPy/Pandas, Pyramid, AngularJS, Esper, Maven
- Strong Academic record with a degree in Computer Science, Math, Engineering or a comparable degre
