Etihad Tech Parts is seeking a detail-oriented General Accountant with a solid foundation in financial accounting to join our finance team. The successful candidate is responsible for recording, analyzing, and reporting financial transactions while ensuring compliance with applicable tax laws and company policies. This role does not require managing a team but demands strong individual accountability and precision in handling accounts payable and receivable, general ledger entries, and preparing accurate financial statements. Experience with SAP and other accounting software is essential to streamline financial processes and maintain up-to-date financial records.
The ideal candidate has at least two years of practical experience in accounting and finance functions. Proficiency in English is mandatory for effective communication and documentation. Knowledge of Arabic is considered advantageous. Responsibilities
- Record and maintain daily financial transactions accurately, including accounts payable and receivable.
- Manage and reconcile the general ledger, ensuring all postings are correct and up-to-date.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports, ensuring compliance with company policies and tax regulations.
- Ensure tax compliance by preparing necessary documentation and coordinating with tax authorities as required.
- Utilize accounting software, including SAP, to process financial data and improve reporting efficiency.
- Perform reconciliation of bank statements, intercompany accounts, and other financial records to identify and resolve discrepancies.
- Assist in the preparation of budgets and forecasts in collaboration with the finance team.
- Maintain organized and comprehensive documentation of all accounting transactions and financial reports.
- Support internal and external audits by providing accurate financial information and necessary documentation.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure proper recording and reporting of financial transactions.
