We are seeking an experienced BI Developer with a strong background in the banking sector to join our team and support the Bank Enterprise Data Warehouse (EDW) and Business Intelligence initiatives. The ideal candidate will play a key role in designing, developing, and optimizing BI solutions that transform complex financial data into actionable insights. These insights will empower strategic decision-making across various banking functions, ensuring the organization remains data-driven and compliant with industry standards.
Key Responsibilities
Design, develop, and maintain Business Intelligence solutions utilizing platforms such as OBIEE, Power BI, or other enterprise BI tools. You will be responsible for creating and enhancing reports, dashboards, and data visualizations that support critical banking areas including risk management, compliance, lending, and customer analytics. Developing, debugging, and optimizing complex PL/SQL queries and stored procedures will be essential to ensure efficient data retrieval and transformation. Collaboration with data engineers, ETL teams, and business stakeholders is crucial to maintain data accuracy, consistency, and reliability. You will apply your deep understanding of Enterprise Data Warehouse concepts to architect scalable BI solutions. Translating business requirements into detailed technical specifications and BI deliverables aligned with banking operations and regulatory reporting standards will be a key part of your role. Additionally, you will uphold data security and ensure compliance with the bank’s data governance policies and internal controls.
Required Qualifications
A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field is required. Candidates should have a minimum of four years of hands-on experience in BI development, preferably within the banking or financial services industry. Proficiency with BI platforms such as OBIEE, Power BI, or similar tools is essential. Strong expertise in SQL, PL/SQL, and data modeling principles is necessary to succeed in this role. A solid understanding of EDW frameworks, data marts, and data integration processes is expected. Familiarity with OFSAA environments will be considered an advantage. Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills are required, along with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative project environment.
Preferred Qualifications and Benefits
Experience with banking analytics, including credit risk, Basel reporting, ICAAP, or related areas, is highly desirable. Exposure to ETL tools such as Informatica or Oracle Data Integrator (ODI) will be beneficial.
