We are looking for a skilled ETL Test Engineer with 5 to 8 years of experience in ETL testing to join our team in Hyderabad, Bangalore, or Chennai. The ideal candidate will have strong SQL expertise, a solid understanding of data warehousing concepts, and hands-on experience with ETL automation tools. This role requires leading and mentoring a team of ETL testers, developing test automation frameworks, and ensuring data accuracy and consistency across multiple systems. The candidate should be comfortable working in an Agile environment and possess excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively with various project stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and mentor a team of ETL testers by providing technical guidance, training, and support in ETL tools, SQL, and test automation frameworks. Develop, review, and execute complex test cases, test scripts, and test data to validate ETL processes and ensure data integrity between source and target systems. Build and maintain ETL test automation frameworks to enhance testing efficiency and coverage. Integrate automated tests into the CI/CD pipeline for continuous validation of ETL workflows. Utilize expert-level SQL skills, including query optimization, stored procedures, views, and functions. Apply strong knowledge of data warehousing projects, data modeling, and BI concepts such as OLAP and OLTP. Work extensively with ETL automation tools, preferably Datagap, and have exposure to Informatica, Talend, and Ab Initio. Contribute to the design, development, and enhancement of SQL Server Data Warehouses using tools like SSIS, SSMS, Power BI, Cognos, and Informatica. Use test management tools such as Azure DevOps (ADO) or JIRA to track and manage testing activities. Collaborate effectively within Agile teams, demonstrating a good understanding of Scrum and Lean methodologies. Communicate clearly with all project stakeholders to ensure alignment and transparency throughout the testing lifecycle.
Required Qualifications
A minimum of 5 to 8 years of experience in ETL testing is essential. Expert-level proficiency in SQL and query optimization techniques is required. Strong background in data warehousing and data modeling concepts is necessary. Proven experience with ETL automation tools and frameworks is expected. Familiarity with test management tools like Azure DevOps or JIRA is important. Solid understanding of Agile methodologies and practices is required. Excellent communication skills to work collaboratively across teams and with stakeholders.
Preferred Qualifications and Benefits
Experience with the Datagap ETL automation tool is highly desirable. Knowledge of Informatica, Talend, and Ab Initio ETL tools will be an advantage. Familiarity with BI concepts and experience deploying applications on cloud servers is preferred. Hands-on experience in the design, development, and enhancement of SQL Server Data Warehouses using SSIS, SSMS, Power BI, Cognos, or Informatica is a plus. Additional familiarity with .NET, ASP.NET, Azure, Docker, and Git will be beneficial. An undergraduate degree or equivalent qualification is expected.
