- Planning, organizing, directing, and managing care of patient in medicine & surgery areas and to ensure quality care of patients.
- Mentoring staff and assessing patient and family learning, readiness and providing appropriate information as needed.
- Acting as a liaison for patient and family between physician, staff members and multidisciplinary team.
- Coordinating the resolution of patient problems, questions and concerns.
- Participating in audits, studies and research designed to enhance quality patient care.
- Ensuring facility policies are developed and implemented to maintain the safety and well-being of patients, relatives and staff.
- Demonstrating ability to interact constructively with patients, relatives and working collaboratively with all the multi-disciplinary team and other departments.
- Preparing and ensuring compliance of quality care delivery pathways in accordance with JCIA, PHC, and regional regulations for patient care and specialty services.
- Ensuring compliance with PHC and JCIA standards for patient safety goals and continuity of care and trained staff accordingly.
- Conducting quality improvement plans as required.
- Participating in development of infection control measures throughout the facility and ensure compliance in all units.
- Collaborating with concerned departments/sections to build team mate relations professional development, and performance development.
- Monitoring and facilitating with human resources in a timely manner according to needs of the facility.
- Addressing teammate relations issues appropriately and escalate as necessary.
- Demonstrating ability to empower staff and team build.
- Establishing s working environment conductive to meeting educational and service needs, develop research awareness/evidence based practice in all staff.
