- Act as liaison between internal audit service provider and the management
- Assist in resolution of any queries or disagreements between the internal auditors and the management
- Arrange meetings of the internal auditors with EL staff and management when required.
- Arrange visits of the internal auditors to different locations and offices of EL.
- Facilitate and assist the internal auditors in initial familiarization with EL staff, processes and environment.
- Attend the meetings of internal auditors with audit committee, management and staff, unless absence is specifically requested any of the above parties.
- Meet separately with the service providers to highlight any areas of focus or suspicious activities, and to provide recommendations based on routine observations.
- Regular follow up with the management and staff on status of prior audit recommendations and convey the findings to the external service provider.
- Review reports prepared by the external service providers and assist them in quality reviews of the reports prepared.
- Facilitate communication between the service providers and managements with regards to reports and provide own suggestions in matters of disagreement.
- Assist the service providers in carrying out periodic self-assessments of internal audit activity as part of quality assurance program.
- Report to the Audit Committee on matters relevant to internal audit where necessary.
