- Design, deploy, manage and operate scalable, highly available, and fault tolerant systems on AWS
- Implement and control the flow of data to and from AWS
- Appropriate use of AWS operational best practices
- Estimate AWS usage costs and identify operational cost control mechanisms
- Experience provisioning, operating, and maintaining systems running on AWS
- Thorough understanding of infrastructure (firewalls, load balancers, storage, monitoring, security etc) and have experience with orchestration to develop a cloud solution (VPC)
- At least 5 years enterprise IT application experience that includes at least five years of hands-on software development, DevOps engineering, systems administration, or systems architecture
- Hands on experience with AWS and a strong understanding of AWS capabilities and limitations
- Prior experience in a technical consulting role in a private, state, or local implementation project
- Understanding of infrastructure and security requirements, such as HIPAA, CJIS, etc.
- Identify and gather requirements to define a solution to be built and operated on AWS
- Must be able to handle multiple tasks, work under pressure, and work well with people.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent from reputable university
