We are looking for a dedicated Executive GIS professional to join our team in Islamabad. The ideal candidate will have a strong enthusiasm for spatial data, mapping, and the latest GIS technologies. This role focuses on developing and maintaining GIS systems, performing spatial data analysis, and producing accurate maps and geographical models. The position requires close collaboration with multiple departments to address organizational GIS needs, along with providing technical support and training to staff. This is a full-time, on-site role based at the CDDT Building, H-9 Islamabad, offering a competitive monthly salary.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain GIS systems to efficiently collect, analyze, and present spatial data.
- Create detailed and precise maps and geographical models that support organizational goals.
- Conduct spatial data analysis and provide actionable insights to guide decision-making processes.
- Integrate GIS technology with other data sources and systems to improve overall data utility.
- Offer technical support and training on GIS tools to team members and other staff.
- Ensure the accuracy, quality, and security of spatial data throughout its lifecycle.
- Keep up-to-date with the latest GIS technologies, tools, and industry trends.
- Collaborate with various departments to understand and fulfill their GIS requirements effectively.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Geography, GIS, Environmental Science, or a related field from a recognized institution.
- At least 2 to 3 years of professional experience working in the GIS field.
- Proficiency in GIS software such as ArcGIS and QGIS.
- Strong skills in cartography, spatial analysis, and geospatial data management.
- Experience with SQL and Python for data manipulation and analysis.
- Ability to visualize data clearly and manage GIS projects efficiently.
- Excellent analytical and communication skills to handle multiple projects and collaborate with diverse teams.
Preferred Qualifications and Benefits
- Candidates with 3 or more years of professional GIS experience will be given preference.
