Expert Business Control (HQ)

This opportunity at Jazz is based in Islamabad and focuses on Expert Business Control for the headquarters. The role involves supporting and occasionally managing budgeting, forecasting, business planning, and reporting cycles for HQ entities. The successful candidate will engage in business controlling activities, month-end closing, and managerial reporting through the HQ dashboard tool (Pulse). Responsibilities also include conducting financial analyses such as balance sheet, cash flow, and project expenditures, preparing business commentaries to evaluate performance against budgets, forecasts, and previous years, as well as performing SOX controls and assisting audit teams. Additionally, the position oversees HQ business travel activities, ensuring compliance with travel policies and verifying traveler profiles against HR data.

Key Responsibilities

- Manage management reporting by reviewing receipting processes, preparing accruals and corrections in coordination with HQ functions, and forwarding these to Record to Report (R2R) for recording.
- Prepare Monthly Flash Reports, Weekly Reporting, Monthly Actuals Reports, and related commentaries analyzing project expenditures, profit and loss, balance sheet, and cash flow compared to previous years, budgets, and forecasts.
- Ensure consistency of HQ dashboards (Pulse) with FCCS/PBCS data and implement corrective actions when necessary.
- Conduct ad hoc financial analyses for management and prepare quarterly management certificates for HQ entities.
- Compile SOX control reports for auditors on a semi-annual and annual basis.
- Collaborate with the HQ Director of Finance & Administration to establish internal timelines for forecasting and business planning.
- Support and prepare forecast templates, consolidate forecast inputs, perform sanity checks, and develop a driver-based consolidated forecast model covering profit and loss, balance sheet, and cash flow.
- Coordinate business commentaries for forecasts, including working capital, below EBITDA, and recharges, and submit finalized inputs in PBCS.
- Develop and integrate new dashboards into the HQ Pulse tool to enhance operational and financial visibility, including daily financial information updates through system integrations.
- Support recharge accrual and recognition processes, receivable management, and facilitate communication between HQ functional owners and cost centers.

Required Qualifications

- Qualified professional with experience in Business Controlling, Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A), and reporting, preferably within the telecom sector.
- Detailed knowledge of FP&A, management reporting, business controlling, and month-end closing activities.
- Strong and current understanding of IFRS and accounting principles.
- Good knowledge of Source to Pay and Record to Report operations.
- Proficiency in Oracle Hyperion Financial Management (HFM), Planning and Budgeting Cloud Service (PBCS), Oracle Fusion, and Oracle EPM Cloud.
- Deep expertise in financial modeling and accounting/reporting system enhancements.
- Excellent coordination and communication skills, with the ability to work independently and take ownership of responsibilities.
