Procurement and Logistics Officer

Candidates with a Bachelors degree in Procurement, Supply Chain, or related fields and 5 years of relevant experience are ideal. Responsibilities

• Manage the purchasing and sourcing of materials, supplies, and services according to company requirements to ensure continuity of operations.
• Obtain, evaluate, and compare quotations from multiple suppliers; negotiate terms and prices to secure the best quality and cost-effective deals.
• Prepare accurate and timely purchase orders; monitor vendor commitments and follow up on delivery schedules to prevent delays in supply.
• Regularly monitor stock levels and coordinate with warehouse or store departments to maintain optimal inventory and prevent shortages or excesses.
• Arrange and oversee local and international shipments, handling transportation planning and delivery schedules to meet operational demands.
• Manage import and export documentation, customs clearance processes, and shipping coordination to ensure compliance with regulations.
• Maintain comprehensive procurement documentation including purchase orders, supplier contracts, invoices, and a supplier database for efficient record-keeping and audit compliance.
• Collaborate with the finance department to process payments accurately and control procurement budgets effectively.
• Ensure all procurement activities comply with company policies, procurement procedures, and relevant legal regulations.
• Track all shipments diligently and proactively resolve any delivery or supply chain disruptions to minimize operational impact.
• Develop and sustain productive relationships with suppliers, freight forwarders, and service providers to enhance supply chain reliability and negotiation leverage.
• Prepare detailed procurement and logistics reports for management to inform strategic planning, operational improvements, and cost management.
• Support operational departments by understanding their procurement and logistics requirements and providing timely solutions that align with company goals.
