We are developing app-controlled indoor gardens with conversational AI and advanced IOT technology. Herbot is a line of indoor robots that automate the process of home gardening and empower the next generation of urban farmers through affordable and sustainable organic agriculture.
We are looking for a Cloud/Database engineer to join our Product Development Team. This position is full-time and located in our Karachi office. In addition to paying a competitive salary, this position will potentially offer equity which could be very lucrative.
The position will require working with a cross-functional team to develop a cloud-based backend for an IoT system and build a data management structure through a cloud computing service. Additional responsibilities include creating and maintaining documentation and release notes, contributing to the system specifications and defining functional tests. The Cloud/Database Systems Engineer is responsible for designing and developing automation tools to support the cloud infrastructure, Server Deployment and Configuration, Supply Chain Management and other areas related to Cloud Infrastructure. You will define and execute innovative ways to deploy, operate and monitor systems at scale.
Qualifications
Proven track record (1+ years) of building cloud applications using AWS or Azure
Strong OOP concepts and must be proficient in developing data structures
Advanced programming or scripting skills and experience with a focus on JavaScript/Python programming languages
Development of web-based database applications using relational or NoSQL databases
Strong problem solving, debugging and troubleshooting skills
Experience in creating test automation framework and tools
BS/MS in Computer Science or equivalent industry experience
