Product Planning:
Identify and articulate market requirements that define the product's feature set to serve as the basis for decision-making about price, distribution and promotion. Interact with the team during the development life-cycle from envisioning to deployment of the solution.
Market Trend Analysis/Research:
Gather and analyze competitive product information, market trends/drivers and customer insights to provide recommendations to improve existing products and suggest new products prioritizing customer needs.
- Price Analysis: Analyze pricing structure relative to pricing levels in the marketplace.
- Continuously monitor the market to ensure competitive pricing structure relative to competition while meeting margin objectives.
Feature Analysis:
- Analyze and compare the main features company products to assess competitive advantage while identifying any gaps.
- Closely study the results to refine messaging and positioning.
- Lead the product development plan by prioritizing product features and capabilities.
- Work closely with Engineering Team to help translate product requirements to engineering specifications.
- Supplier/Vendor Negotiation: Foster healthy relationships with new and existing suppliers and negotiate different terms (product specs/pricing etc.).
