Qualification/Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering with five (5) years’ experience of public infrastructure design implementation and execution. 
  • Knowledge of working with PHED, C&W and other line departments.
  • Knowledge and experience of design review, cost estimates, and field monitoring of civil works projects.
  • Sound understanding of the rehabilitation and reconstruction processes.

Job Description:

  • Facilitate in preparation of detailed cost estimates and designs as required.
  • Provide technical input for project appraisal, data collection, technical progress monitoring, oversight, supervision, and quality control.
  • Analysis of field data and technical report development. Technical inputs to ensure quality execution of CPI’s if required.
  • Interacting and liaising with Development Partners and arrange regular updates, briefing etc.
  • Preparing reports, briefs and monitoring progress.
  • Prepare detailed working drawings showing all details;
  • Provide support in effective management of the project including progress monitoring and reporting, technical inspections, documentation of design change and variations in drawings and BOQs for approvals.
  • Assist in developing regular monitoring and coordination system for approval and implementation of community infrastructure schemes according to approved BOQs, standards, drawings and specifications;
  • Close coordination with project stakeholders
  • Ensure that DRR and environmental concerns are addressed while rehabilitating the infrastructure schemes;
  • Documentation of all relevant activities (field trip reports, minutes of meetings, budgets etc.) in accordance with the organization’s guidelines and regulations.
  • Preparing and maintaining data base of all infra structure activities, sharing progress on weekly and monthly basis and relevant progress documentation
  • Prepare BOQ (Bill of Quantity) and tender document for the contractors.
  • Assist the Project in evaluation of bids received from contractors against RFP;
  • Assist the Project in preparation of agreement and award of contract documents;

Languages:

  • Fluency in Written and Spoken English.
