Job Description

  • Assistant Manager Procurement is responsible for overseeing supply chain management and procurement, possibly on a worldwide scale. 
  • Responsible for vendor selection for high quality and cost efficient material purchase. 
  • Responsible for day to day operations of vendor management, sending inquiries, getting quotes, making comparative statements and then negotiations with them for cost efficient and in time material delivery. 
  •  He/She should ensure implementation of departmental strategies and policies
  • Assist in achieving excellence in the process of managing key suppliers for continuous improvement through rigorous cost and value analysis, and receptiveness to change.
  • Select, develop and manage long term relationships with key strategic suppliers to establish and maintain superior quality, supply, service and cost across all materials & services
