A non-profit organization, based in Bahria Town Islamabad and operations all over the country, is seeking the services of an efficient person responsible for the execution of the project activities in the assigned district (Khushab)

The position will be reporting to District Coordinator, the specific job responsibilities will include but not be limited to:

·         To actively screen patients, attendants using the identified diagnostic tools in high volume Mines & Minerals (M&M) dispensaries /hospitals, coal mine associated communities, schools, workplaces and other identified areas across the district.

  • Conduct a verbal screening at assigned areas using a screening form based on symptomatic screening.
  • Ensure accurate and complete documentation of screened individuals and filling in of all the required data points.
  • To identify presumptive TB cases and guide presumptive patients on sputum expectoration and assist with sample submission for gene xpert testing to nearest BMUs.
  • To convince a maximum number of patients and attendants at the facilities (or community camps, schools, work areas etc)  to have chest x-rays conducted for the purpose of screening for chest abnormalities.
  • To create awareness amongst the identified masses regarding the TB activities and its importance.
  • To ensure positive TB patients are registered for treatment, provide follow-up support to the doctor and carry out contact and default tracing.
  • Safely separating identified TB presumptive by providing masks to avoid lack of spread.
  • Conduct /arrange outreach activities such as verbal screening in coal mines, associated coal mines communities, visiting schools, community gathering and chest camps.
  • Oversee all outreach worker placed at M & M sites to ensure smooth functioning of TB services.
  • Facilitate District Coordinator in overseeing the field component of the program to ensure that systematic contact tracing and contact management are in place.
  • Make field plans for the outreach worker to make household visits to M & M communities to bring them in for evaluation and treatment.
  • Make household visits to patients' homes to monitor the visits made by outreach worker.
  • Any other task assigned by the District coordinator.

Job Qualifications and Requirements:

  • A Field Officer role is well suited to candidates aged 24-28 years and with below qualification.
  • Preferably graduate with 02-04 years of relevant work experience.
  • Experience in health sector projects will be preferred.
  • Candidate with Personal Transport will be preferred
