Finance & Accounting Operations (FAO) – GA and R2R

Key Responsibilities

- Manage end-to-end Record-to-Report (R2R) and General Accounting (GA) activities for the Pakistan entity, ensuring strict adherence to internal controls, statutory regulations, and ABB’s global reporting standards.
- Execute general accounting tasks including journal entries, reconciliations, and period-end closings with accuracy and timeliness.
- Oversee fixed asset accounting, lease accounting, and payroll-related accounting functions to maintain financial integrity.
- Prepare financial statements, disclosure reports, and statutory filings in compliance with local laws and group requirements.
- Support internal control testing and audit readiness, ensuring compliance with Internal Control over Financial Reporting (ICoFR).
- Conduct detailed balance sheet and profit & loss reviews, promptly resolving any discrepancies.
- Coordinate with HR, Treasury, and Procurement teams for payroll postings, fund transfers, and intercompany settlements to ensure seamless financial operations.
- Manage master data changes such as General Ledger (GL), cost centers, and profit centers in alignment with global standards.
- Identify and drive process improvements and automation opportunities to enhance efficiency and strengthen controls.

This position requires onsite presence and reports directly to the Country Holding Officer. It involves close collaboration with global teams while maintaining full ownership of local accounting and reporting responsibilities.

Required Qualifications

- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Professional certifications such as CA, ACCA, or CMA are highly preferred.
- 3 to 5 years of experience in General Accounting, Record-to-Report, or Financial Reporting, preferably within a multinational corporation.
- Strong expertise in fixed assets, lease accounting, payroll accounting, and financial statement preparation.
- Proficiency in SAP modules (FI, CO, FA, MDG-F) or equivalent ERP systems.
- Excellent analytical skills with meticulous attention to detail in reconciliations and reporting.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills to engage with both global teams and local stakeholders.
