Financial Accountant

Within this vibrant setting, Constellation Dealership Software is looking for a detail-oriented Financial Accountant to join its Finance team on a permanent full-time basis. Reporting to the Assistant Finance Manager, the successful candidate will oversee comprehensive accounting functions and conduct advanced financial analyses to support the organization’s financial health.

Key Responsibilities
Record daily financial transactions and ensure accurate postings across various accounting systems. Manage customer account credits, returns, and cash receipts, applying payments correctly to outstanding invoices. Coordinate and prepare customer invoices, reconciling monthly invoicing activities to maintain accuracy and compliance with revenue recognition policies. Prepare journal entries and assist with month-end close processes. Generate accounts receivable (AR) aging reports, calculate allowances for doubtful accounts, compile supporting documentation, distribute monthly AR statements, and follow up on customer payments. Perform monthly account reconciliations, including bank and account adjustments, analytical reviews, and variance analysis. Consolidate monthly reporting packages and provide trending analysis on both monthly and quarterly bases. Ensure all processing and reporting deadlines are consistently met. Lead and support a team of accountants and assistant accountants, ensuring smooth daily operations. Mentor and guide team members by providing constructive feedback to encourage professional development. Collaborate closely with offshore teams across multiple time zones to ensure seamless coordination of financial activities.

Required Qualifications
A minimum of three years’ experience in a similar accounting role is essential. Candidates should be finalists or qualified professional accountants, or hold a bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Business Administration. Proficiency in managing multi-currency transactions is required. Advanced skills in MS Excel, including the use of VLOOKUP and pivot tables for data analysis, are necessary. Strong verbal and written communication skills, along with excellent organizational and time management abilities, are critical. Experience with QuickBooks is a must.
