Finnect is seeking a skilled Backend Engineer with at least seven years of experience to join our innovative team. The ideal candidate specializes in Java and Spring Boot technologies and plays a key role in designing and developing secure, high-performance backend services within a microservices architecture. This position involves hands-on development of scalable APIs and integrating with various external systems, including payment gateways and banking platforms. The role requires a strong understanding of distributed systems principles and emphasizes building reliable, maintainable, and efficient backend solutions. The Backend Engineer will also manage a small team, fostering collaboration and driving technical excellence to meet project goals and organizational standards.
In this role, the Backend Engineer actively participates in system design discussions, guides architectural decisions, and collaborates closely with frontend, QA, and DevOps teams to deliver seamless, end-to-end solutions. Responsibilities extend to troubleshooting complex issues, optimizing application performance, and ensuring compliance with security best practices. A proactive approach to problem-solving and continuous improvement is essential, as is the ability to communicate clearly and work both independently and as part of a team. Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain backend services using Java (version 8 or above) and Spring Boot framework.
- Build and sustain microservices-based architecture for scalable and resilient applications.
- Develop RESTful APIs ensuring high performance, responsiveness, and security.
- Integrate backend services effectively with external systems such as payment gateways, banking platforms, and third-party APIs.
- Lead system design and architecture discussions, contributing insights and making informed technical decisions.
- Implement security measures and data protection protocols including OAuth2 and JWT standards.
- Optimize applications for maximum speed, scalability, scalability, and reliability, addressing distributed system challenges like latency and fault tolerance.
- Troubleshoot, debug, and upgrade existing backend systems to improve functionality and performance.
- Write clean, modular, maintainable, and well-documented code adhering to best practices.
- Manage and mentor a team member, providing technical guidance and fostering a productive development environment.
- Collaborate with frontend developers, quality assurance engineers, and DevOps teams to ensure smooth deployment and operation of backend systems.
- Utilize version control systems like Git and build tools such as Maven or Gradle to streamline development workflows.
- Contribute to continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipeline enhancements for efficient software delivery.
- Apply knowledge of containerization tools like Docker and orchestration platforms like Kubernetes to support scalable deployment environments.
- Exhibit problem-solving skills and analytical thinking in resolving technical challenges and improving overall system architecture.
- Maintain attention to detail and uphold quality standards in all aspects of backend engineering work.
