A great opportunity to join a fast moving and dynamic digital marketing company based in UK. Friday Media Group is a UK-based web company with a clear vision that’s expanding in the UK and internationally (we have offices in Miami and Barcelona!), currently boasting over 70 websites, generating in excess of 12 million visits a month.
Summary of Role:This is a varied role working in a forward thinking and dynamic organisation. It offers a platform to build your industry experience and gain exposure in a complex business. Being part of an eleven person finance team and reporting to Group Financial Controller, assisting with monthly management accounts, financial accounting, treasury and company reporting.
Main tasks include (but not limited to)
· Assisting in the preparation of the monthly management accounts.
· Assisting with month end reporting
· Month-end journal posting including accruals and payroll
· Assist with Balance sheet reconciliations and reporting
· Preparation of financial data and files for the annual audit.
· Daily Treasury management and cash forecasting
· Rolling 3 monthly cash forecasting.
· Working on Purchase Ledger, Sales Ledger and General Ledger.
· Working with other departments in the business to improve the quality of information provided to finance.
· Various variance analysis , cost analysis and revenue movement reconciliations
Skills required:
Qualified CIMA/CA/ACCA or in final stages Demonstrated ability to proactively identify and escalate issues Hands-on, practical problem solving and process improvement skills Capable of working to tight deadlines and completing tasks within set timeframes A good eye for detail Experience with Net Suite or other ERP system.
Experience in preparation of Management Accounts is essential
Experience of cash management/forecasting is highly desirable.
