- Preparing health and safety strategies and developing internal policies and making changes to working practices that are safe and also in compliance with laws.
- Outlining safe operational procedures which identify and take account of all relevant hazards.
- Carrying out risk assessments and considering how risks could be reduced.
- Carrying out regular site and plant inspections to check policies and procedures are being properly implemented and keep records of inspection findings and generate reports that suggest improvements.
- Responsible for provision of in-house training in coordination with shift Incharge to labors/employees about health and safety issues and risks.
- Assess the hazards of the work area and recommends the type of Personal Protective Equipment needed and also provide training on its use to the relevant employees.
- Responsible to report all accidents or injuries that occur to the employees while at work.
- Remained up to date with new laws and maintaining a working knowledge of all Health, Safety & Environment (HSE).
- Ensuring the safe installation of equipment after routine maintenance.
- Take effective measures for the safe disposal of hazardous materials.
