- Responsible for designing, programming and installation of new control systems for new manufacturing equipment and also ensure continuous upgrading and testing program whether it is functioning properly or not so that damage of machinery can be avoided.
- Must read and interpret electrical and electronic drawings, schematics, blue prints, engineering drawings and sketches to determine problems and make appropriate repairs and keep the design technical materials for troubleshooting.
- To successfully execute the assigned task and make programs for the new project with in the given budget and time frame.
- To identify problems in the system and there solutions so that to provide assistance to the production personnel in completion of the project in the required time phase and also provide assistance to other functional organizations(manufacturing, assembly, mechanical) through the life of the project.
- Responsible for the overall maintenance of the system such as diagnosing cause of electrical or mechanical malfunctions or failure of equipment or system repairs or replaces defective components e.g. PLC controller, relays, frequency convertor etc. and also to ensure the parts are of good quality so that to avoid any future trouble.
- Perform simulation checkout to ensure whether the current programs meets the requirement of the machine and in case of any debugs responsible for reprogramming of the whole machine.
- Accountable for checking HMI (Human machine interface) to ensure whether the HMI is showing exact correlation with the programs and if not then figure out the problem and suggest solutions and than relate the HMI with the programs.
- To obtain back-up PLC programs from a server to reload and reboot PLC programs to restore faulted equipment.
- Assist with system startups and operational checkouts on systems including configuration, wiring, calibration, grounding and power testing.
