We are looking for a Senior Full-Stack Engineer to join our team in Islamabad, working on a high-impact ride-hailing platform trusted by thousands of users. This full-time, on-site position offers the chance to take full ownership of a mobile-first dispatch and real-time mobility system built for scale. You will be responsible for the end-to-end development and optimization of both frontend and backend components, ensuring the platform performs reliably, securely, and efficiently.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and optimize a high-performance React Native mobile application, integrating native modules using Swift and Kotlin when necessary.
- Own and maintain the Node.js backend, utilizing PostgreSQL, Redis, and AWS to build scalable, low-latency services.
- Implement complex geolocation logic, route matching algorithms, and integrate Firebase services including push notifications, analytics, and messaging.
- Collaborate closely with operations and design teams to enable rapid feature releases and continuous product improvement.
- Ensure system reliability, data security, and optimal performance across all platform components.
- Manage cloud infrastructure on AWS, including load balancing with Nginx or AWS Application Load Balancer (ALB).
- Secure asset management using Amazon S3 and Cloudflare, and implement fraud prevention and anomaly detection mechanisms.
Required Qualifications
- At least 5 years of experience in full-stack development with a strong focus on React Native and Node.js.
- Proficiency with PostgreSQL and Redis for building scalable backend systems.
- Hands-on experience managing AWS cloud services and infrastructure.
- Solid understanding of geolocation-based real-time applications and trip-matching algorithms.
- Familiarity with native mobile development in Kotlin (Android) and Swift (iOS) for occasional native integrations.
- Experience working with mobile SDKs, APIs, and Firebase services.
- Ability to work independently, take full ownership of projects, and proactively identify and resolve issues.
- Must be based in Islamabad and able to work full-time on-site; remote or hybrid arrangements are not available.
