A.  Role Overview

The Business Development Executive (BDE) is responsible for generating leads and supporting new business revenue to “Company”. Working as part of a dedicated team, the BDE will have his own prospect portfolio focused on specific business sectors. He will be responsible for developing a sales contact plan, setting up appointments with C-suite people and pitching to small and medium-sized clients.

B. Responsibilities:

  • Work with and expand current prospect database within specified business sectors to generate effective leads & exceed sales targets for the business
  • Develop a sales contact and build relationships with key prospects
  • Set up appointments between C-suite people and Reporting Manager
  • Respond to incoming Requests for Information (RFIs), Requests for Proposals (RFPs) in a professional and creative manner
  • Work closely with colleagues in “Company” to identify common new business prospects and cross-sell integrated search and affiliate proposition

2. Knowledge Sharing, learning & development

  • Enhance own development by taking responsibility for staying informed and up to date with industry knowledge
  • Work closely with the Sales team to develop new business proposals
  • Work closely with the client service, operations, editorial and implementation teams to demonstrate the expertise at new business pitches
  • Contribute to the learning environment by identifying areas where there is potential for learning and building knowledge with others.

4. Professional Requirements

  • Ability to interact with and influence multiple sales channels
  • Ability to manage and track lead generation and a sales pipeline through CRM system

Minimum Skills Required:

i. Academic Qualification(s):

  • MBA or Masters in Business Studies

ii. Other skills:

  • Persistent & creative sales approach
  • Driven and motivated by results
  • Passionate about performance marketing
  • Strong presenter and negotiator
  • Excellent written skills
  • Organized with good attention to detail skills
  • A self-starter who can spot new opportunities
  • Able to work as part of wide and varied team

iii. Experience:

  • Minimum 2 years of relevant work experience in Proven experience as Business Development  Executive
