Core Responsibilities:

Conducting keyword research: 

  • This includes identifying relevant keywords and phrases for the company's website and creating content that is optimized for those keywords.

On-page optimization:

  • This includes optimizing the website's structure, meta tags, header tags, and content for search engines.

Technical SEO:

  • This includes identifying and troubleshooting technical issues that may be impacting the website's search engine visibility and implementing solutions to resolve them.

Link Building:

  • This includes identifying and acquiring relevant backlinks to the company's website to improve its search engine rankings.

Analytics and reporting:

  • This includes using website analytics to track the performance of the company's SEO efforts and creating reports to share with stakeholders.

Collaborating with other teams:

  • The SEO lead will work closely with other teams such as marketing, product, and development to ensure that the company's SEO efforts are aligned with the company's overall strategy.

Keeping up to date with SEO trends and best practices:

  • The SEO lead should stay up-to-date with the latest SEO trends and best practices and ensure that the company's SEO efforts are in line with these.

Other responsibilities includes:

  • Assist in creating and implementing a local SEO strategy.
  • Assist in conducting regular website audits and creating reports.
  • Collaborating with other marketing teams on campaigns and initiatives.
  • Assisting in creating and managing budgets for SEO campaigns.
  • Assisting in creating and managing timelines for SEO campaigns.
  • Assisting in the management of external vendors and agencies.
  • Assisting the Head of SEO with reporting to upper management.
  • Training and mentoring junior team members.

What you need for this role:

  • You have 6+ years of work experience in B2C/B2B marketing as SEO Lead or senior executive..
  • You will need to be able to analyze data and make data-driven decisions.
  • You will need to be able to communicate effectively with a variety of stakeholders, including other teams, external agencies, and upper management.
  • You should have a solid understanding of the principles of SEO, including keyword research, on-page optimization, technical SEO, and link building.
  • You should be proficient in using website analytics tools, such as Google Analytics, to track and analyze the performance of the company's SEO efforts.
  • You should be able to work effectively with other teams, such as marketing, product, and development teams.
  • You should be able to pay attention to detail to ensure that the company's website is optimized for search engines and that all SEO efforts are executed correctly.
  • You should be adaptable and willing to learn new techniques and best practices as the field of SEO is constantly evolving.
  • You should be able to lead and manage a team of junior members and drive the company's SEO efforts to success.
