To work closely with clients and users in order to make sure that Project designs match their needs and are functiona, safe and economical.

Core Responsibilities & Duties:

  • To design and develop projects assigned.
  • To discuss the objectives, requirements and budget of a project.
  • To prepare and present feasibility reports.
  • To determine the materials to be used and specify the requirements for the project.
  • To design proposals for the clients.
  • To use IT in design and project management, specifically using computer-aided design software like AutoCAD, Photoshop, and Sketch up Studio 3D Mix etc.
  • To keep within financial budgets and deadlines.
  • To produce detailed working drawings and specifications.
  • To specify the nature and quality of materials required.
  • To prepare tender applications and presentations.
  • To prepare tender documents for contracts.
  • To manage projects and help to coordinate the work with contractors.
  • To control a project from start to finish.
  • To visit site to check on progress, ensuring that the project is running on time and to budget.
  • To resolve problems and issues that arises during construction.

Skills Required:

  • Excellent communication skills, both written and oral.
  • High levels of creativity, imagination and vision.
  • A keen interest in the built environment and the dedication to see projects to their conclusion.
  • Willingness to work long hours, under time and budget pressure.
  • Excellent design and drafting skills and proficiency with computer-aided design (CAD).
  • Strong mathematical skills.
  • Organizational, project management and planning skills, including the ability to juggle multiple tasks.
  • An analytical mind with excellent problem-solving ability.
