Job Summary:
If you have a passion for marketing with a background in PHP engineering, this is the perfect opportunity for you to represent Cloudways in online communities and social networks.
As a PHP Community Ambassador, a deep knowledge of PHP is a must.
Since this isn’t a core engineering job, though, strong communication with potential customers and expertise in growing a network of people around yourself and the Cloudways brand is necessary.
You need to be tech and digital savvy with an energetic and outgoing personality with strong communication, public relations management, and technical writing skills.
A knack for testing, learning, and experimenting with new features related to web development on the Cloudways platform will also be highly beneficial for your growth.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- A basic day to day routine of Community Ambassador will be as follows.
- Stay updated on industry news. (web development, hosting, social media marketing)
- Be helpful in assigned social media groups and forums
- Research and produce assigned technical content, based on strategy.
- Look for guest blogging opportunities.
- Track competitors and promote Cloudways where relevant.
- Conduct interviews of industry influencers.
- Make connections, brand your profile and invite people to test Cloudways
- Study Cloudways features and test them out.
- Study, experiment and discover new areas in web development and hosting industry.
Skills:
- Technical Content Writing
- Social Media Marketing and relevant skills (tracking, managing comments, managing groups)
- Strong Communication and English writing skills.
- Web Development Skills and troubleshooting (PHP + MySQL / WordPress / Magento / Drupal / PHP frameworks)
- Google Analytics
- Basic Knowledge of SEO (optional)
- BSc Degree in Software Engineering / Computer Science
- Attention to detail and multitasking
- Outgoing personality
