Software Engineer - PHP / WordPress

GADITEK is in search of a Software Engineer (PHP/WordPress) who thrives in a fast-paced and challenging environment while working on complex problems with a talented team — conceptualizing, developing and implementing applications and features from scratch using the latest technologies.

This role requires a creative technology team member. Someone who is responsible for high-quality delivery of a range of projects, leveraging their skills in PHP.

We need someone who has the technical experience and loves to focus on iteratively building and improving existing and new products, is self-motivated and inspired to explore new vistas, and will both support and lead initiatives that will take us to new levels of excellence.

Once you are here, you will:

Assist with the improvement, optimization, and scalability of our WordPress’ WooCommerce setup with standard-compliant plugin and theme development.
Work on quality assurance and create procedures for automated testing.
Write responsible and standards-compliant code.
Work on automation of business processes and workflows to reduce manual work across teams.
Modify existing code for better compatibility.
Be responsible for source code management with Git.
Ensure timely delivery of development tasks.

Experience & Qualifications:

2-3 years of professional experience with WordPress theme and plugin development.
Professional experience with WooCommerce development.
Professional fluency in PHP.
Ability to write standards-compliant HTML, CSS and jQuery.
Ability to work with and configure LAMP environments.
Responsive web design development with frameworks like Bootstrap.
Ability to program or exchange data with XML, JSON and 3rd party APIs.
Familiarity with Laravel or any other MVC based framework.
Familiarity with Scrum methodology.
Familiarity with curl and basic terminal commands.
Ability to follow OOP based coding standards.
Ability to improvise, learn and be adaptable to new technologies when required.
