Linux Academy – Overview

Gaditek is running the third run of its successful in-house Linux Academy program where graduates, irrespective of their background, can come to learn to work with Linux and WordPress on the cloud and get a chance to solve challenging real-world issues with Gaditek. We are looking for fresh graduates who have heard about Linux and WordPress, have an idea of how the web works, but want to learn more and start their careers in this field.

If you are a curious self-learner and want to explore the world of Linux and the web on the cloud, this academy program will serve as your stepping stone. It will be a strenuous six to seven weeks long training program. You will be guided, you will be directed, and you will be expected to learn new things at a fast pace. Those who excel in the program after the end of those six to seven weeks will be given a chance to work full-time at Gaditek to help solve challenging real-world problems.

ObjectiveThe objective of Gaditek Linux Academy is to train sharp, self-motivated, and determined people to become part of our expanding global cloud operations team which interacts with real customers directly and solves their real-world, technical issues.

How will the program run?

If you are selected for this program, you will be put through six-to-seven weeks-long in-house training. You will learn about Linux, about the cloud, and about WordPress. This will be a super-charged training program, where you will be expected to learn many new things on your own in a short span of time. During the training program, you may be required to work alone or in groups towards specific goals. Assignments throughout the six-to-seven weeks of training will be used to judge your progress and learning aptitude.

At the end of this initial training, an exhaustive interview program will filter out the people we need. If you are the person we are looking for, you will be selected for the main academy program.

Once selected, you will sit alongside our expanding cloud operations team on the production floor, and go through our carefully selected product training program. As you pass through different layers of the training program, you will be allowed a taste of production by exposing you to specific customers and their specific real-world issues. Over time as you continue through the product training program and become adept at solving issues, you will transition into the main operations team and become a full part of it. At that point, you will have graduated from the academy.

Relevant Experience:

Education:

• Min Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Telecommunication, Electronic, or related Engineering programs. 
• We don’t believe in high CGPA, even if you have average or below average CGPA but have a passion for tech or Linux, do apply.

Skillset required

We are looking for people who have the following:

• Strong verbal and written English communication
• Strong desire to learn new things on your own
• Strong desire to work in the cloud and Linux industry
• Linux and cloud experience, if available, is a plus but not needed.
• Previous experience in a customer-focused role, if available, is a plus.
• A knack for learning and explore technical concepts and things.

Bond Signing

Linux Academy Program is a one-of-a-kind training program in the entire industry. Our graduates are required to sign a 3-year bond for working with Gaditek in PlatformOps.

Work from home is mandatory for all Gaditians during the COVID19 pandemic. To enable our teams to work remotely, Gaditek has introduced the following:
