Job Summary: Evercare Hospital Lahore, a project of Gate Healthcare 1 Pak (Private) Limited is an emerging 270 bedded multi-specialty facility located in Lahore, Pakistan. The hospital which will be commencing operations in Q1 2018, is part of an international healthcare group whose mission is to provide quality healthcare to the aspiring middle classes in Pakistan, through investment in hospitals, clinics, and diagnostic centers.

We are looking for an Assistant Clinical Nurse Manager who will be responsible for delivering a nursing service that aligns with the mission of the organization by facilitating the design and implementing the delivery of patient care, recommending strategies to improve services. We are recruiting candidates for the below areas:

·         Surgical Intensive Care Unit / Surgical Step Down

·         Operation Room and Post Anesthesia Care Unit

·         Surgical Inpatient and Labor & Delivery

Duties and Responsibilities:  

·         To hold the position within context of professional nursing practice, patient care, operational, financial, human resource management, quality improvement and leadership.

·         Work includes developing adequate managerial systems for control, developing programs, policies and procedures covering all areas of responsibility and monitoring to maintain the optimal professional conduct and practices of the Nursing Services and to assure the quality of nursing care.

·         Provide high quality, personalized, planned, holistic nursing care to all assigned patients.

·         Implements policies and procedures related to hospital nursing programs. Monitors and evaluates staff compliance to the recommended measures.

·         Provides direction and coordinates the activities of the concerned nursing unit to maintain proper professional and administrative procedures to meet Nursing Standards according to Joint Commission International Accreditation.

·         Participates in the planning and implementation of integrated, preventive – curative nursing care programs, ensuring that hospital and nursing objectives, standards of nursing care and practices, policies and procedures are being implemented.

·         Comply with all policies and procedures of the hospital.

·         Comply with the scheduled on-call duty roster.

·         Demonstrate competence in patient assessment and plan care accordingly.

·         Administer medication safely, applying knowledge of drug and dosages, refers drug manual and/or pharmacy information as required, monitor patient responses to medication and communicate reportable findings promptly

·         Demonstrate knowledge and skills of age related variations and normal parameters of vital signs of neonates, infants, children and adolescent patients

·         Collaborate with other professional disciplines to ensure effective patient care delivery and achievement of desired patient outcomes.

·         Demonstrate safe handling and proper use of equipment.

·         Perform any other relevant task assigned by supervisor

Eligibility Criteria:

·         Diploma in General Nursing and Midwifery / Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing (BScN).

·         11 years’ of work experience, at least 5 years nursing experience in relevant specialty.

·         Valid license from Pakistan Nursing Council.

·         Prior experience as Head Nurse / ACNM is preferred.

·         Basic computer literacy.

·         The ability to demonstrate managerial ability, good interpersonal relationships, and the application of sound administrative principles.

·         Certification in BLS, Safe Medication Administration, I/V Cannulation, ECG Interpretation and Aseptic Techniques will be preferred.

·         Ability to determine appropriate course of action in more complex situations

·         Ability to manage multiple and simultaneous responsibilities and to prioritize scheduling of work

·         Ability to maintain confidentiality of all medical, financial, and legal information

·         Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing

·         Ability to handle difficult situations involving patients, physicians, or others in a professional manner

·         Willingness to work in shift duties
