POSITION SUMMARY
Global Clinical Cura is seeking a highly motivated, full-time molecular biology laboratory technician to work in our import and export company. The company is basically importing medical devices from ISO certified and CE marked foreign principals and installing them at various well reputed laboratories and hospitals. New focus is ELISA and PCR. The ideal candidate should possess a bachelor’s degree (at least, Masters and professional qualifications are added benefits), exceptional verbal and written communication skills, good work habits, and have a willingness to work as part of a team. Experience working in a wet lab environment outside of a classroom is strongly preferred.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
1. DNA cloning, including PCR, restriction enzyme digests, transformations, plasmid purifications.
2. All types of PCR performance
3. ELISA expertise.
4. Moving in Islamabad and Rawalpindi at customer sites for training, installation and troubleshooting.
5. Moving in other cities for training and installation and troubleshooting.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor’s degree. (MLT, Molecular Biology, Biotechnologist)
- Master’s in Molecular Biology is preferred.
- At least 6 months laboratory experience.
- Good work habits.
REQUIRED COMPETENCIES – KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES
- Good Communication skills. (English and Urdu both)
- Working knowledge of laboratory practices, procedures, and terminology.
- Working knowledge of safe and aseptic practices for working with hazardous biological or chemical materials. (Especially for Manual PCR)
- Ability to comprehend and follow references, manuals, and guides related to work, received from foreign principals.
- Ability to analyses the kits and suggest problem’s solutions..
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (e.g, Word, Excel, Power Point) and use of web sites for internal and foreign communication).
- Problem-solving and critical thinking skills are a necessity.
WORKING ENVIRONMENT/PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
- Need personal conveyance for intra-city traveling.
- Regular full time job.
- Salary range is 25K – 30K in the beginning. Will be increased based on efficiency.
