GEM Business Solutions is seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Equities Dealer to join our dynamic trading team. The Equities Dealer will be responsible for executing equity trades on Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX) platforms, managing client orders with speed and precision, and ensuring full compliance with all regulatory requirements set forth by the PSX and Securities and Exchange Commission of Pakistan (SECP). This role demands a strong understanding of equity markets, trading strategies, and risk management principles. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of three years of proven experience in equity trading or dealing, preferably within a brokerage or financial institution.
This position requires the candidate to monitor real-time market movements, apply quantitative analysis techniques, and collaborate closely with compliance and risk management teams to maintain robust trade operations. The Equities Dealer must possess excellent execution skills and be capable of working efficiently under the pressure of a fast-paced trading environment. As this role does not involve managing a team, the focus is on individual trading performance, disciplined adherence to regulations, and maintaining accurate trade records to support operational transparency and client satisfaction.
Responsibilities
- Execute buy and sell orders promptly and accurately using PSX trading systems while adhering to established trading strategies and market conditions.
- Manage and process client orders with precision to meet execution deadlines and ensure optimal trade outcomes.
- Continuously monitor real-time market data and price movements to identify trading opportunities and mitigate risks effectively.
- Maintain thorough knowledge and compliance with PSX trading rules, internal risk policies, and SECP regulations to uphold the integrity of trading activities.
- Record all trade transactions meticulously and prepare detailed reports to support auditing, regulatory compliance, and performance analysis.
- Collaborate with Compliance and Risk Management teams to ensure seamless trading operations and timely resolution of any discrepancies or regulatory issues.
- Monitor trading positions, exposure limits, and margin requirements to prevent risk breaches and maintain portfolio stability.
- Provide clients with timely updates on market trends, trade execution status, and relevant financial information to enhance client service experience.
- Apply quantitative analysis techniques and financial instrument knowledge to optimize order execution and portfolio management strategies.
- Maintain a disciplined and detail-oriented approach to trading that supports fast decision-making in a high-pressure environment.
- Stay current with developments in equity markets, trading platforms, and regulatory changes to continuously refine trading tactics and compliance practices.
