Geotechnical Expert

Associates in Development (Pvt) Ltd., a well-established multinational organization with offices in Pakistan, the USA, the UK, and Afghanistan, is seeking a qualified Geotechnical Expert to join its team. Established in 1992, the company brings over 30 years of multidisciplinary experience in Engineering & Infrastructure, Social Sectors, and Climate Change/Environment portfolios. This role is part of upcoming development projects focused on water supply, sanitation, and drainage within Pakistan. The ideal candidate will possess relevant academic credentials and extensive experience in geotechnical engineering, along with strong written and verbal communication skills in English.

Key Responsibilities
- Provide specialized geotechnical engineering expertise for the design and implementation of structural components, including overhead reservoirs, disposal works, and Anaerobic Baffled Reactor (ABR) projects.
- Conduct detailed geotechnical investigations, analyses, and evaluations to support project planning and design phases.
- Collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams to integrate geotechnical considerations throughout project development.
- Prepare comprehensive technical reports, design documentation, and recommendations that comply with industry standards and project specifications.
- Coordinate with professional bodies and regulatory authorities to ensure all work adheres to relevant codes and standards.

Required Qualifications
- Master’s degree in Civil Engineering, Geotechnical Engineering, or a closely related discipline.
- At least ten (10) years of professional experience in geotechnical engineering.
- Proven expertise in geotechnical design for structural projects such as overhead reservoirs, disposal works, and ABR systems.
- Mandatory registration with relevant professional engineering bodies.
- Excellent command of English, both written and verbal.
