Responsibilities
- Develop and implement effective crop management plans to maximize production and quality.
- Monitor soil fertility and apply appropriate soil health management techniques to sustain farm productivity.
- Plan and execute crop rotation schedules to improve soil structure and reduce pest and disease risks.
- Utilize soil health monitoring tools to assess and adjust soil conditions regularly.
- Oversee the day-to-day agricultural operations ensuring all tasks are completed safely and efficiently.
- Lead, train, and manage a team of eight farm workers, delegating responsibilities and promoting teamwork.
- Maintain detailed records of crop growth, soil conditions, and resource usage to inform decision-making.
- Ensure compliance with environmental regulations and implement sustainable farming practices.
- Coordinate the procurement and maintenance of farm equipment and supplies.
- Identify opportunities for continuous improvement in farming methods to increase productivity and sustainability.
