Github is seeking a skilled Python Developer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate has a strong foundation in Python programming, combined with at least two years of relevant experience. This role requires an individual with excellent communication skills who can effectively collaborate with team members and stakeholders. While experience in the banking industry is preferred, it is not mandatory. Candidates must hold a bachelor's degree in computer science or a related field, supported by a minimum of 16 years of formal education. This position focuses on contributing as an individual contributor without team management responsibilities.

Responsibilities

Develop, test, and maintain Python-based applications to meet company objectives and client needs.
Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code that adheres to industry standards and best practices.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams including product managers, designers, and QA engineers to deliver high-quality software solutions.
Analyze user requirements and translate them into technical specifications and software design.
Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve software defects and issues promptly to ensure optimal application performance.
Participate in code reviews to ensure code quality and share knowledge with peers to foster continuous improvement.
Stay current with emerging technologies and industry trends relevant to Python development and incorporate them into projects where appropriate.
Ensure security and compliance standards are met, especially when handling sensitive data, aligning with preferences for banking industry experience.
Contribute to the development and maintenance of scalable software architecture and automated testing frameworks.
Communicate progress, challenges, and technical insights effectively to the team and management.
