A leading group of industries is looking for young, talented and experienced professional to work over the position of “Assistant Manager IT”, who will be responsible for executing the Technical Support strategy and tactics. Ideal candidate should have experience in managing technical department and leading a team of 'Support Executives'. Candidate should have high level expertise in managing & maintaining Exchange Server, email server & SQL.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Ability to Manage, maintain and troubleshoot deployed exchange server & Email server.
  • Ensures acceptable levels of performance in network. This task involves a high degree of technical knowledge and effective management procedures within the Technical Services Team.
  • Develop plans, procedures, and activities to support recovery when problems occur including backup and restoration procedures, vendor agreements, spare parts, data retention, and restoration planning.
  • Conduct capacity planning. Develop procedures to measure the capacity for network devices and hosted applications relative to current and future activities. Based on these measures, coordinates the acquisition of additional resources.
  • Assure that software and firmware is at current revision levels. Work with vendors to request and schedule upgrades and with technical staff to support the upgrades.
  • Establishing and managing communication channels within and among department being the liaison to provide feedback to the Senior Management Team.

Skills & Competency Requirements:

  • Possess a Masters/Bachelor Degree in a relevant field preferred
  • Extensive experience in a leadership or management role, preferably in the Internet sector Strong technical background
  • Previous experience with process improvement

  • Experience in managing & troubleshooting exchange server
  • Demonstrated interpersonal skills including, mentoring, coaching, presentation skills and the ability to interact with colleagues at all technical levels
  • Dynamic, energetic, motivated, positive outlook with the ability to multi-task and prioritize responsibilities
  • Ability to communicate with and understand the requirements of professional staff in area of specialty and communicate these requirements to technical staff
