A leading news channel is looking for talented and experienced "System Support Engineer".
System Engineer is responsible for managing and monitoring all installed systems and infrastructure. Installing, configuring, testing and maintaining operating systems, application software and system management tools.
Talking to staff or clients through a series of actions, either face to face / email or over the telephone to help set up systems or resolve issues.
Providing support, including procedural documentation and relevant reports.
Following diagrams and written instructions to repair a fault or set up a system.
Supporting the roll-out of new applications.
Responding within agreed time limits to call-outs.
Working continuously on a task until completion.
Prioritizing and managing many open cases at one time.
Rapidly establishing a good working relationship with team and other professionals, e.g., software developers, QA engineers, project managers.
Testing and evaluating new technologies.
