- Execute import processes in a cost-effective way and according to deadlines.
- Ensure compliance with correct HS codes
- Effective negotiation of duties and terms for imports.
- Should have a strong grip of tariffs, incoterms, duties, restrictions and permits.
- Should understand how to place orders, keep track and then also source suppliers.
- Knowledge of freights, custom duties, tariffs NOCs and permits.
- FULL KNOW-HOW OF IMPORT DOCUMENTATION, BANK REQUIREMENTS, EIF, CUSTOM CLEARANCE ETC.
- Collect, Negotiate and finalize freight charges from freight forwarders as per decided Incoterm.
- Make freight comparison sheet for approval. And assign to freight forwarder with providing relevant details.
- Provide AWB or BL instructions to freight forwarders as per LC requirements.
- Routine follow up with freight forwarders for timely delivery of shipments.
- Make documents as per LC for the submission in bank in case of Export of any consignment against LC.
- Read, highlight and precede required amendment in LC in case of Export of any consignment.
- Maintain track record of all import in transit consignments.
- Correspondence with foreign suppliers if needed.
- Inform warehouse about expected import consignment arrivals date wise.
- Arrange Delivery Orders and Endorsements.
- Check Negotiable and Non-Negotiable documents and 3rd party documents.
- Must have experience of product costing
- Must have good comand over microsoft excel.
- VERY GOOD ENGLISH AND COMMUNICATION SKILLS
