GoFlow Dispatch is seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Truck Dispatch Executive to join our logistics team. The ideal candidate will have at least two years of experience in truck dispatch operations, focusing on managing routes, coordinating schedules, and optimizing loads to ensure timely delivery of goods. This role involves using advanced fleet management software and route optimization tools to maximize efficiency while adhering to all regulatory compliance standards. Effective communication and problem-solving skills are essential to handle real-time tracking and address any issues that arise during the dispatch process. Although this position does not involve managing a team, the successful candidate is expected to collaborate closely with drivers, warehouse staff, and other departments to maintain smooth fleet operations.
The Truck Dispatch Executive is responsible for planning and coordinating daily truck routes, monitoring fleet locations through real-time tracking systems, and ensuring optimal load distribution to minimize costs and delivery times. This position requires a high level of organizational skill to schedule dispatches effectively while complying with transportation regulations. Attention to detail and proactive problem-solving capabilities are critical for adjusting plans based on traffic, weather, or other unforeseen circumstances. By leveraging fleet management systems and tools, the executive ensures that all dispatch activities align with company goals, contributing to improved customer satisfaction and operational productivity.
Responsibilities
- Plan and coordinate daily truck routes to ensure timely and efficient delivery of goods.
- Utilize fleet management software and route optimization tools to schedule and dispatch trucks.
- Monitor real-time fleet locations and communicate with drivers to update route information as needed.
- Optimize load planning and distribution to maximize vehicle capacity and reduce transportation costs.
- Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements related to transportation and fleet operations.
- Coordinate with warehouse and logistics teams to align dispatch schedules with shipment readiness.
- Address and resolve issues arising during transit, including delays, vehicle breakdowns, or route changes.
- Maintain accurate records of dispatch activities, vehicle usage, and delivery statuses.
- Analyze dispatch performance metrics and provide suggestions for improving efficiency.
- Manage communication between dispatch, drivers, and other stakeholders to facilitate smooth operations.
