Job brief:
We are looking for professional Embedded Software Development Engineers to execute complete embedded software development lifecycle. The goal is to create scalable and optimized firmware for MCU based electronic devices.
Responsibilities:
- Design and implement software for embedded devices and systems from requirements to production and commercial deployment
- Research, Design, develop, code, test and debug system software
- Analyze and enhance efficiency, stability and scalability of system resources
- Integrate and validate new product designs
- Support software QA and optimize I/O performance
- Provide post production support
- Interface with third party hardware to gather required data and provide control information
- Ability to develop Embedded Software using C, C++, and Assembly language.
Requirements:
- BS/MS degree in Computer/Electrical/Electronics Sciences or Engineering
- Proven working experience in software engineering especially in embedded programming
- Experience with real-time embedded software development using C and C++
- Proven experience in embedded systems design with preemptive, multitasking real-time operating systems
- Familiarity with software configuration management tools, defect tracking tools, and peer review
- Adequate knowledge of reading schematics and data sheets for components
- Familiarity with various microprocessors and microcontrollers especially STM, memory, and I/O architectures and be able to implement both procedural and object-oriented methodology.
- Should be comfortable in a lab environment and be able to collaborate closely with system engineers, hardware designers, and integration/test engineers.
- Knowledgeable of hardware/software interfaces, programming of embedded processor utilizing a Real Time Operating System (RTOS), real-time and post processing data analytics, object oriented programming, design patterns.
- Work closely with server-side engineers to create secure cloud-based solutions
Skills:
- Strong ‘C’, C++, and assembly programming language skills
- Understanding of Real Time Operating Systems (RTOS)
- MATLAB, Simulink and Stateflow experience
- Understanding of microcontroller architecture
- Familiarity with emulators and debug tools
- Experience with ISO 11783, J1939 and Controller Area Networks (CAN)
- Excellent 2-way communication skills (upward and downward)
- Familiarity with automative standards such as CANBUS communication and diagnostics
